The artist was born Jennifer Langland in 1975 in Livermore, California. She grew up in Palo Alto and migrated to Sonoma County in 1998. Always driven by art, beauty and creativity, Jen pursued art in school and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Fine Art with a Painting emphasis from Sonoma State University three years later.

Jen has spent years involved in community arts organizations helping fellow artists.Her professional experience includes Exhibits and Operations Manager at the Cultural Arts Council of Sonoma County, Education and Volunteer Coordinator at the Sebastopol Center for the Arts, Art at the Source Open Studios Committee and Program Coordinator, theater costume design and construction for Sonoma State and the Napa Shakespeare Festival, and digital restoration of slides for the SSU Art History Department. Jennifer spent a year apprenticing with Jack Stuppin, an internationally known landscape artist. She is now focusing on web design.
Jen spends much of her time gardening, painting, and sewing. With her husband Dan, they raise chickens and have 3 cats in rural West Sonoma County. She enjoys great food, fine wines, and researching animals, pharmacology and human physiology.
Jennifer has worked and shown art in Forestville and Sebastopol. She currently resides in Occidental.
